Ok so there are people out there who don't like CO. Well who cares, I love the place and I was saddened when recently this week I found out they they are now nonexistant. What happened? And most importantly, WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?I've been there for a couple wild birthday celebrations there (including my own) and when my friend decided yesterday that she wanted to celebrate her 21st there, she and I were both crushed to see CO's website informing us that the DC bar was no longer there.
Ok so I've only been there a handful of times, but I definitely have had a lot of good memories and that place is guaranteed for a crazy fun time.
In the meantime I'll have to continue digging around to see what I can find. Whatever ends up where CO used to be better be damn good!

I believe that's because in general, there were never more than say 15 people in that bar at one time, 90% of whom were under age or skeevy old men.
wtf is CO? u mean CU? that place was terrible.
The bar wasn't pulling it's weight financially. Most people didn't know it was there, and with all the construction happening in the neighborhood aroung Coyote the rent was too much to keep it open. Sometimes franchises fail, but it sucks because it just needed better publicity.
I have to say I'm with Cookie on this one!
It had to go the way of LuLu's...
Coyote Ugly will become another bar.
Aw, that's too bad. You really look like you had an astounding time at the bar on that photo. I hope you find another fun playground :)
I used to go to Coyote Ugly for poker tourneys. I'm surprised to hear they closed, not that I would really go there for drinks or to pick up women. It was in a bad location.
I understand if you liked it, but... VICTORY!!!!
Sorry for the late replies guys, I've been on vacay!
Yea I definitely meant CU. Yes I'm a retard.
I didn't love the place, but I definitely did have some great times there, so I'm sad to see that place go, even if it does suck to everyone else (it doesn't take much to keep me happy)
I think that they advertised poorly and no one really knew they were there. I heard about it through a friend a few years ago, and since then still haven't heard any advertisements on the radio or seen any in the paper. Even when CU would send out their email newsletters, DC was barely ever mentioned.
